Ireland – where the grass is greener, where the gold is waiting for you at the end of the rainbow and where the fairies live. This is what most people think of when they hear the word “Ireland“ and this comes pretty close to what I’ve experienced. The island is probably one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever visited. With its rolling hills, the ridiculously green grass, the nice people and just generally its beautiful nature, Ireland is definitely worth a visit. The trip itself was also great. We had lots of fun and our schedule was perfectly planned out.
My personal highlights are hard to pick, because nearly everything was amazing, although I loved the Titanic Experience along with Cobh and the day where we visited the cliffs and the beach the most. Cobh is a beautiful, small town and with the Titanic Experience it made it on my “visit again“-list. The cliffs were just breathtaking, and the beach was simply stunning.
The next grade should definitely go to Ireland too since Ireland’s really great and should not be underestimated. Also, the Irish host families were extremely nice – you can’t help but feel welcome. Ireland is often overlooked, because of Great Britain, which is a real shame, so it would be a good chance for the next grade to visit and love it. In addition, you will visit lots of amazing places.
If there’s a place on earth, where fairytales could come true, it’s Ireland.
