In the winter semester of this school year, the module FCE B2 (First Cambridge English) was offered by Ms. Schnedl at our school. This module is a preparation course for the FCE exam, which tests your English skills at the B2 level and is useful for studying, working or travelling in English-speaking environments.
During the course, you work through every single part of the exam and are therefore extremely well prepared by the time the module ends. If you don’t plan to take the exam, it’s still good practice for school exams.
Three students from our group – Maja Kürbisch 6EG, Antonia Berchtold 7BO and Ferdinand Wippel 7BO – decided to take the official exam at the WIFI on March 7th. The exams lasted almost the entire day. In the morning, we took the tests for Reading/Use of English, Listening and Writing. In the afternoon, we were paired with a partner for the Speaking portion of the exam. Although it’s natural to be nervous before an exam like this, we all achieved our goals and if you reach a certain number of points, you can even be certified at the C1 level!
Magdalena Hauser (6BO), Johanna Fischer (7AC), Rosa Sammer (7AC) and Benedicta Hulatsch (7EG) will also take their exam in June, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that they will be just as successful!
